Imagine my gratitude at having found
someone like you to be my friend.
Someone to share my thoughts and feelings,
hopes and dreams, joys and sorrows.
Someone who accepts me as I am, without judgment.
We are very different, yet in reality differences exist only
in the eyes of those who seek to separate.
When we come together, we are but one in spirit.
We learn from and grow with the acceptance of one another
and the unique qualities that we each possess.
We benefit from each other’s experiences
and gain knowledge from lessons the other has learned.
I bask in the blessedness of our friendship,
in how your very presence uplifts my spirits
and inspires me to greater things.
Like a beacon of light, you guide me
through the darkness that this world sometimes brings.
Words need not be spoken for your message to be heard,
for a mere smile or acknowledging glance is sufficient
to provide the reassurance that I can make it
through whatever trials await me.
Deep is my gratitude at having found
someone like you to be my friend.
